Hershey Symphony Shall We Dance? Gala
Featuring the Hershey Symphony Orchestra and Hershey Big Band
HERSHEY, PA – One of Hershey’s signature musical social events of the year, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Benefit Gala “Shall We Dance?” will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2005. This season’s Symphony Gala returns to the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center.
Invitations to the Symphony’s event were mailed to more than 3,100 of the area’s residents and corporate officers. Tickets for individuals are $55, tables of 10 are $500, and tables of 8 are $400. Optional overnight stay discounts are being provided by the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center for all Gala guests. Registration for this special evening will close on March 18, 2005.
The black-tie optional Symphony Gala begins at 5:30 p.m. with a beginner dance lesson, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. During the evening, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra will perform under the baton of Dr. Sandra Dackow, followed with performances by the Hershey Big Band and Barry Hess, “the Roadrunner.” Silent and live auctions will be held throughout the evening. Exhibition dancing is provided by local dance studios.
This annual benefit event is held to support the Symphony’s work of more than three decades of extraordinary efforts and accomplishments of one of the largest all-volunteer orchestras in the nation.
